Urban and regional planning community CEAT

The Communauté d’Études pour l’Aménagement du Territoire (CEAT) is a group of researchers whose works address questions related to the built environment from a multidisciplinary perspective, carrying therefore advanced research on spatial planning. Moreover, the Community’s objectives include teaching (Bachelor, Master and PhD students) and providing high level expertise services for public authorities. By focusing on the creation of synergies, CEAT favors collective, networked actions, aiming to promote the multiple connections between people, institutions, disciplines and the social space (“territories”), at different levels: local, regional, transnational and global.

PGIS Toolkit Project Closing Conference

— CEAT Lab organized a closing conference for the Participatory GIS Toolkit research project, funded by Tech4Dev. The project focused on two countries spanning two continents: Kenya and Nepal. This event brought together all project stakeholders, along with prominent researchers in the field of mobility.

New publication in the Journal of Urban Health

— In addition to individual practices and access to water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) facilities, housing conditions may also be associated with the risk of diarrhea. Our study embraced a broad approach to health determinants by looking at housing deprivation characteristics as exposures of interest and confronting the latter’s spatial distribution to that of diarrheal cases.

Stakeholder workshop in Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire

— Meeting with village chiefs in Williamsville (Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire) to discuss the results of household surveys conducted in February 2022. This meeting provided an opportunity to clarify the health challenges facing drinking water distribution facilities, and to explore possible solutions in collaboration with local residents.
